In 2004, my mom was diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer. Instead of giving up, she chose to fight back—transforming her health through nutrition, exercise, and education. Her determination inspired me and my sisters, showing us that resilience isn’t just about survival—it’s about thriving.
At the time, I was working in a high-pressure corporate job, burning out and breaking down. Watching my mom’s transformation pushed me to rethink my own health. I turned to Pilates and strength training—not just to heal my body, but to reclaim balance, confidence, and calm.
That journey didn’t just change me. It became the foundation for PowerPlaySF. PowerPlaySF exists because of my mom’s story.
Her fight against breast cancer planted the seed for a studio that empowers women at every stage of life—through workouts, through community, and through unwavering support.
