In 2004, my mom was diagnosed with late-stage breast cancer. Instead of giving up, she transformed her health through nutrition, exercise, and education. Her determination to fight and find strength in the face of adversity deeply impacted me and my sisters. Her journey didn’t just change her life—it shaped mine.
At the time, I was working as a Brand Manager for a media company, living the high-pressure corporate life. To cope with stress, I hit the gym daily, grinding through intense cardio sessions. But I kept fracturing my toes, over and over. That’s when I was introduced to Pilates and strength training as part of my rehab.
Under the guidance of my Pilates instructor and personal trainer, I felt my body transform. I became stronger, faster, more flexible, and more confident. My anxiety lessened, and I discovered a deeper sense of balance and strength—not just physically, but mentally.
That experience changed everything. Inspired by my own transformation, I left my corporate job and became a certified Personal Trainer and Pilates Instructor. I developed a simple but powerful approach to training—combining strength training, Pilates, and dynamic cardio drills to build resilient, confident bodies.
Motherhood introduced a new chapter and new challenges. It taught me the power of women supporting women, and I realized that strength goes beyond lifting weights. I began connecting with other wellness experts—nutritionists, pelvic floor therapists, doulas, chiropractors, physical therapists, and massage therapists—to provide my clients with whole-person support.
Because true strength isn’t just about muscles. It’s about having the right team, the right support, and the right tools to feel powerful in every season of life.
That’s why I created PowerPlaySF—a space where women can find strength, community, and confidence together. A place where no woman has to figure it out alone.
